Charles “Chuck” Sheldon

Director

Chuck Sheldon retired after a highly successful career in business, most recently as founder and CEO of Network Hardware Resale, a private technology company specializing in networking equipment that he built with his sons from 1992 to 2012. NHR was featured four years in a row on Inc.’s “500 Fastest Growing Private Companies” list. When sold in 2012, NHR had grown to more than $250 million in sales and a top-two market position in its sector. From 1987 to 1991, Chuck was elected a Councilman and then Mayor of Hermosa Beach, CA, where he also served on the Planning Commission, Park District Board, and founder of the Youth Basketball League. He was honored as Hermosa Beach Man of the Year in 1997. Earlier in his career, Chuck held sales management positions at IBM and built a successful real estate business. He is currently a resident of Santa Barbara, CA, where he supports several other non-profit organizations. His travel experiences have attuned him to the great human needs in Africa and attracted him to Bulamu’s mission and cost-effective programs. With his strong technology background and CEO perspective, Chuck will be especially helpful as we extend our HCE hospital/clinic management system across Uganda and other African countries. He earned his bachelor’s degree and played varsity football at Southern Methodist University.
